If you receive any communication from a debt collector firm operating under the name of Frederick Goldstein & Zoe be forewarned. These people are the lowest form of sewer filth of septic waste that you can imagine. I kid you not. There is no hyperbole or fantasy here. I have been receiving numerous comments to my blog and emails asking me who “Frederick Goldstein & Zoe” is. My friends you really do not want to know these people.
You need to learn how to defend yourself and not ignore the phone calls or letters you receive. Ignoring debt collectors could be fatal to your financial health. They will sue you if you cower or do not take the initiative and attack. You should at least purchase my self help system and learn the ropes. “I have also recieved calls from Frederick, Goldstein and Zoe. They have called my ex husband and his mother and threated them with having me arrested, papers to be delivered at their work and lawsuits. I contacted them and requested an address to send a letter and they refused to give me an address, e-mail and then were rude to me. How can I find out an address to send a certified letter if they refuse to give me one? I called them back after they hung up on me and still could not get a supervisor. They are calling ex-relatives and I never had the bill that they referenced. Now they are calling my work and threatening my employees who answer the phone.”

They have had a lawsuit filed against them by the NY State Attorney General.
My husband and I received a call from FG&Z today. The message that they left on our answering machine was that there would be a summons for court sent to my husbands work and home. Also that we had 24 hours to call them back. My husband called them back to figure out what was going on. Of course it was for a bill we did owe. When he asked them to email a letter of settlement before we give them our account info he was put on hold for 30 minutes. They stated that they do not do this they just want the account info. My husband knowing his rights by law, they have to send you something in the mail to show that you do owe the debt they say you do, told them that if they do not then they could file the court documents and we could proceed that way. To my amazement they emailed us a letter. After an hour on the phone with them my husband was done. He then relized that our address was wrong on the letter and called back to get it corrected. They then passed the phone between 5 people to just fix the address. My husband let them know that we will not authorize the payment to go through without the letter in hand and signed by a rep. from them. We will see if we ever get this letter.
Wow! Sounds like “The Buddy System” is an employee of FG&Z. Reading that response gave me a headache. I couldn’t make sense of what was being written.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who has put in valid points and advice on this blog. I got a call at 7am this morning. Violation number 1. I simply hit the talk button and then the off button. I’m willing to talk during normal business hours. However, I’m armed and ready to call them out on the rest of the violations which I’m sure will take place. Scare tactics used by companies such as these make me laugh. If I have a debt, I will pay. I will only deal with legit companies. Those are the ones who attempt to contact you via snail mail and give you the options and terms to pay off your debt. People don’t stress. It’s entertaining. Laugh at these bumbling fools!! Educate yourself and know your rights. You’ll avoid a lot of unnecessary stress.
The Honorable Ms Zoe, calling herself an atty, asked for a predated payment for an alledged balance my wife ran up 8 years ago without proof of any outstanding balance from her ‘client’. I asked for 1 hr to ask ‘my wife’ and then called the County Attorney and the Sheriff, who said NEVER PAY WHEN YOU CANT GET A STATEMENT. I called Zoe back and told her what I did AND SHE WENT NUTS! “So you’re refusing to pay” said Zoe–”no, just give me a statement” said me. Eventually she called me a liar who hadn’t talked to the Sheriff of DA. Evenually I hung up because she continued to threaten and belittle me. If I owe I pay–but not without a statement.
For everyone that puts collections down need to stop and think for a few minutes.As we all know the economy is shit now, due to everyone that gets credit cards,loans,etc.the way I see it,is if you cant pay it dont get it.If you dont pay for it,that’s like stealing it.
This so called “company” is now wanted by the New York State Attorney and he is going to get them shut down. It doesn’t matter if you can’t pay or not. It is the TACTICS that are being used, that are illegal. Get it right, Veronica!
These people call my wife’s parents weekly that live in NJ, we live in Alabama, all the way down south. I keep up with my credit score and information, as well as hers. Neither her nor I have any past due bills, credit card or otherwise. These guys are scam artists, they make threats to lady’s. I highly doubt they would make such a threat staring into the face of a grown man. They ask her mom to give them our address, phone number and banking information? One she does not have a clue on the banking information, and two we are listed in the PUBLIC phone book so if they were such great sleuths then I would have got the call, not her mother where she has not lived for a decade. I have heard from a few sites that the head Lawyer Fredrick Goldstein has been suspended due to misconduct, I have not verified this fact personally, but it is on more than one complaint site, you Google this “group” and you get HUNDREDS of sites, all that have complaints of them using crude scare tactics, most to elderly ladies and people who have no idea where the actual person they are looking for is. I have read “they called about my ex-husbands cousin and my nieces husbands mother”, that is just astonishing to me. Guys, quit with the BS scare tactics and have a little moral backbone, and maybe you will get somewhere other than suspended and disbarred!

I have no objections to collection agencies that obey the law. I have zero tolerance for the majority of them who seem to believe they can conduct themselves in any way they see fit. Which collection agency(s) are you talking about? Sounds like you may be an employee of one of them.

FGZ called my aunt and grandmother looking for me. they did not give them my info but took thiers. when i called the next day they said claimed to be a law firm and i had a lawsuit against me and would have to pay all kinds of court fees, but if i settled today out of court they could take payment over the phone. they scarred me into thinking i could be arrested and i ended up giving them my bank info for payment to be made the next day. after googling and speaking to some family members, i started thinking it could be a scam. i went to make bank and closed my account before any funds were removed and faxed FGZ a letter asking for debt validation. they are by far the rudest, immoral, SOB’s out there!

I received a call from my 70+ year old mother, who has just completed a course of treatment for Breast Cancer. She was upset after receiving a harassing phone call from FG&Z for a person who’s name she didn’t recognize, but who shared my former married name. Turns out the person was MY ex-husband’s brother’s ex-wife. I can’t even imagine how they got her contact info! I’ve been trying to contact them, but I get a voicemail box and naturally, no response. I would like to send them a “cease and desist” letter, but have been unsuccessful getting a proper address. Anyone gotten through to any of the addresses in the post or otherwise?

THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME VALIDITY OF A DEBT THEY SAY I OWE THEY DEMANDED MY BANK ACCT INFO OR CC #.THIS WAS FOR A DEBT MADE IN 1994,WHEN I REFUSED TO PAY ANYTHING ON THE ADVISE OF MY ATTY. THEY UPDATED ON MY CREDIT REPORT THAT THIS WAS A DEBT ACCURED IN 2005 INSTEAD OF 1994 THAT WAS 19 YRS OLD
I too have had a problem with this firm. They represent themselves as a law firm, but they are just a collection agency. They called my ex-husband whom I have not seen or talked to in 25 years. They told him that I will be arrested if I don’t call them. My ex then calls my daughter in Arizona to tell her to have me call these people. How did they get my ex’s name and number? I have not been hiding, I have lived at the same address for 12 years. I don’t remember ever being in debt to the client they represent. They are using strong arm tactics which are illeagal. Debt collectors have certain peramiters that must stay in, otherwise they are breaking the law. Anyone up for a class action suit?

Changing the date of last activity is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You can sue them for that violation plus the fact that they are threatening you on what the Federal Trade Commission terms a “time barred debt”.
I received a phone call today from FG&Z. They were attempting to locate my mother. I refused to provide info put took down their info. 888-234-4685. Birmington, NY. I called my mother and she did not know what I was talking about. I then googled these guys and have read info that is not in the favor. I called them back and asked for their law firms web address. They refused to give me this information, stating that they only give it to clients. Although I told them I was a “clilent”, which I am not, they wanted my name prior to giving me the info I requested. Since I would not do that, I did not get a web address…if they even have one.

They are not located at 41 Bristol St Canadaigua NY 14424 or 44 either. These are fake addresses. The company is Graham, Noble & Associates.
They are run by Omar L. Smith. They are located on the East Side of Buffalo and should not be paid or listened to.
If you have been contacted by them file a complaint with the Attorney General of New York State in Buffalo. Then file a complaint with the FTC.
The more complaints the easier it is to file a law suit and put them in jail and out of business.

I too have been contacted by Frederick Goldstein & Zoe. They caaled my father threatening to come arrest me & he BETTER give my address. He refused of course. They left a message on my mom’s machine saying that Officer Scott was coming from the Sherrif’s ofc to arrest me. I called them to see what is going on. All this idiot would say was that i was guilty the debt was from Jan 2004 (he did say that) and it was FRAUD & I was going to jail saying eating cucumbers you guilty HOE! What in the world? I call back after he hung up because i am ready to argue because i do not deserve this harrassement… they hung up on me 4 more times before I got a lady who provided me a PO box address: PO Box 25189, Farmington, NY 14425… I need someone to get back to me to tell me how to take control of this situation without trying to sell me something PLEASE!
