Anyone reading this blog right now is very well aware of the fact that our country and in fact a good part of the rest of the world is experiencing a financial and economic nightmare. Much has been written about the root causes of what has thrust our nation into a very deep recession despite what Washington or Wall St says. Anyway who cares what Wall St. says anyway? Aren’t they the geniuses who got us into this mess because of their unbridled greed? The point is that unfortunately some of you who reading this blog may be victims of the current economic crisis and if you are, collection agencies and debt predators are lurking around the next turn waiting to inflict misery upon you. The next great financial nightmare will be massive credit card default write offs by the major issuers. This will just add billions of dollars more to the massive red ink we already have. So what does all of this mean to you personally? If you have financial problems or you know of people who have experienced economic dislocation, just know that the debt collectors, collection agencies have lots of money and attorneys to pursue you. They will be aggressively pursuing those who have defaulted auto loans and credit card accounts. Debt collectors have never been this busy or made the money they have in the last couple of years. It is only getting better for them but certainly not for you.
